Initial appointments usually take between 45 mins to 1 hour, depending on your condition. Length of follow-up appointments are determined based on initial assessment and usually varies between 30 mins to 1 hour.
Please come 10 minutes prior to your first appointment to complete new patient registration and consent forms. You can download a copy of the Patient Information and Consent Form here to bring to your appointment.
Things to bring to your appointment
- Referral letter
- Relevant investigations with reports (X-rays, MRI, CT scans, Nerve studies, Ultrasound)
- For online investigation, access codes
- Any off the shelf splints/braces that you have been using
- Private health fund card
- List of medications that you use
If you’re unable to attend an appointment please call us ASAP to reschedule. As appointment times are valuable, we require 24 hours’ notice for cancellations. Please note if less than 24 hours’ notice is given, Advanced Hand Clinic reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee.
What to wear to your appointment?
Your therapist may require to assess your entire arm by taking you through different movements, so we recommend wearing a T-shirt or garment that allows free movement and ease of access.
Lotion and gels can be used during some forms of treatment, please take that into consideration.
